Le premier Ministre de la RDC, Sama Lukonde, a pris la parole le lundi 7 novembre à la 27ème Conférence des parties sur le changement climatique devant plusieurs Chefs d’Etat présents. Pour lequel, l’homme d’Etat congolais a rappelé la position qu’occupe la RDC en tant que « pays solution » dans cette bataille de réchauffement climatique et son immense réserve potentiel en ressources naturelles. Face au potentiel énorme qu’englobe notre pays, l’objectif pour la RDC est d’affirmer son leadership environnemental et climatique au plan continental et mondial. C’est aussi, une opportunité pour la RDC au travers ces assises de plaider pour des moyens financiers conséquents en faveur des pays contributeurs à l’écosystème mondial.
« Ça sera donc une occasion pour Kinshasa de présenter son plaidoyer pour le financement adéquat dont elle a besoin face aux enjeux climatiques et cela au regard de sa position de Pays solution » a soutenu Sama Lukonde. Il a également insisté en disant que ‘’La RDC apporte des solutions certes, mais elle a aussi besoin de répondre aux attentes de sa population’’.
En ajoutant, « Ici, je vais simplement mentionner que nous sommes dans la droite ligne de ce qui avait déjà été lancé par le Président de la République, sur l’affirmation de la RDC comme pays-solution. A la suite de cette affirmation, nous avons eu une participation active à la COP-26. A en croire à ses paroles, il affirme que le pays se considère comme étant co-organisateur de ces assises avec l’Egypte après avoir accueilli les travaux de la PRE-COP 27 à Kinshasa et à Yangambi.
Jean-Michel Sama Lukonde promet de faire entendre la voix de la RDC.
